We're half way through the Local Matters promotion with Grill'd Mt Ommaney. Ellen and Robin visited last night to do our bit for the club. The club jar has some tokens in it and it would be nice to top it up. If you are thinking of dining options please consider Grill'd Mt Ommaney. They are also providing junior player awards and a gift voucher for our upcoming Volunteer Celebration.

As notified previously the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Monday 10 November 2025 from 6:30 pm at Wolston Park Club House (Pavilion), Eddie Gilbert Memorial Field, Orford Dr, Wolston Park, Wacol.
All members are invited, and we'd like all teams represented, so you can have a say in the future of your club.
Further details of the meeting including the agenda and nominations for the election of the President and Treasurer have been forwarded via e-mail.
A calendar invitation has also been forwarded. Please respond to the calendar invitation so we know how many people are attending and can make preparations for that.

On behalf of everyone at WPC Cricket our hearts go out to Ben Austin’s family during this heartbreaking time.

In remembrance of Ben and his love for our great game our players will be wearing black armbands this weekend and will pause for a minute’s silence to remember Ben and his loved ones.

We are pleased that the works on the CJ Greenfield lit cricket nets upgrade project are now finished. The project included a lighting upgrade, removal of the existing synthetic surface covering and the rubber matting, some concrete preparation work, resurfacing with new synthetic, relocation of the container and some drainage works together with resurfacing of the existing field wickets at the ground. We are very appreciative that we received a grant of $103,765.03 from Brisbane City Council. The electrical upgrade and synthetic covering replacement aspects of the project are proudly funded by the Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants from Brisbane City Council.

The club also received a grant of $40,000 from Cricket Australia and Queensland Cricket’s Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund to contribute to the cost of the project. We appreciate the support from our parent body for this vital infrastructure project.

Additionally, the club received a grant of $15,000 from The Lion Helping Hands Fund (Richlands) to contribute to the costs of the drainage aspect of the project. We appreciate the support from The Lion, another local sports club to assist in enhancing sporting facilities in our community.

The remaining funds for the cost of the whole project have come from club funds.

We hope you appreciate and enjoy using the significantly improved training facility.
